Not a magnet and not glue across the whole window. The panel slides behind the rubber seal and is fixed at the edge with thin strips of clear 3M tape — included in the kit, together with spares for later refitting. The tape touches the glass only along a narrow band, so it holds firmly and leaves no adhesive when removed. The whole design rests on the panel being rigid and cut to the millimetre — it does not need to be glued across its full surface to sit securely.

No. A 500 µm polycarbonate panel is rigid and cut exactly to the shape of the window, so there is no play for it to shift into. The seal and the tape at the edge hold it together. Slamming the door and driving over bumps make no difference to it.

No — it is fully DIY and needs no tools. No heat gun, no squeegee, no fluid and no wet application, all of which glued films require. Simply lower the window, slide the panel behind the seal, stick on the tape strips and raise the window again. That works out at about 30 seconds per window and a few minutes for a whole set. The panels arrive cut for one specific model, so there is nothing to adjust or trim yourself.

You see as through a tinted window — the lower the percentage, the less light passes. In daylight, 20% and 30% give comfortable visibility. At night every level takes away some light, which is why the darkest 5% works above all in the rear of the car, where the side mirrors provide the view behind. We do not pretend that tinting has no effect on visibility — it is worth taking into account when choosing a level, and starting lighter if in doubt.

Yes. The panels are cut so that they do not interfere with the window mechanism. Because they are fitted as an overlay, on windows that are opened very often and fully it is worth being a little careful so that the panel keeps a perfect fit. With the windows closed this makes no difference at all.

The panel peels off the tape and slides out from under the seal — a few seconds per window, no tools. The tape comes away with the panel and leaves no mark on the glass. Refitting works exactly like the first time: new tape strips, slide in, press down. The kit includes spare tape, so the panels can be taken off and put back many times — for winter, before selling the car, or whenever they are no longer needed.

The panels are made of polycarbonate — the same material used for headlight lenses and bulletproof glass. It works from −40°C to +115°C, so neither frost nor summer heat makes any difference to it. By comparison, cheaper PET films start to soften at 70–80°C, and surfaces inside a car standing in the sun can reach that. Polycarbonate also has a scratch-resistant coating on both sides and blocks 99% of UV radiation.

No. 3M tape is safe for glass and comes away with the panel when removed. If a residue of adhesive should remain, ordinary glass cleaner takes it off — no scraping and no risk of scratching. The glass goes back to how it was before fitting.

The percentage is how much light the panel lets through — the lower the number, the darker the window.

30% is the lightest level and the most common choice: it tidies up the look of the car subtly while leaving the most visibility. 20% is the middle — clearly darker windows and more privacy while keeping sensible visibility. 5% is the darkest, gives maximum privacy and works best at the rear.

The price does not depend on the level — they all cost the same. Levels can also be mixed: one at the front, another at the rear.

The panels are waterjet-cut to the make, model, generation, year of production and body type — you specify them in the configurator when ordering. The database holds over 500 car generations popular on the Polish market. If a given car is not on the list, it can be entered manually — we then confirm the cut by email before anything goes under the machine. Coupés, convertibles, buses and panel vans have unusual window shapes, so for those we ask you to get in touch before placing an order.

Every set is made to order, so production takes an estimated 5–14 working days. During that time the material goes under the waterjet in a specific cut pattern and passes a check before packing. We ship across the EU and send the tracking number on the day of dispatch. If the material in your chosen tint level should run out, we let you know by email.

The panels are cut to the measurements of one specific car, so — as goods made to individual order — they are not subject to return without giving a reason (art. 38 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). Before we start cutting, an order can be cancelled without any trouble: just send a message to ciemnaszybasklep@gmail.com.

If a panel does not fit despite correct car details, has a material defect or arrives damaged — we cut a new set and cover the shipping cost. We handle complaints within 14 days. For unusual cut patterns we confirm the fit by email before cutting, so that this does not happen in the first place.

The rules below describe Polish law. Tinting regulations differ from country to country — check the rules that apply where your car is registered.

In Poland the rear windows may be tinted freely. The regulations set no light-transmission limit there and require no certificate; a working mirror on both sides of the car is enough. Panels on the rear have no effect on the outcome of a technical inspection.

The front side windows are covered by a separate rule — they must transmit at least 70% of light, which no tint level meets. Panels on the front therefore work where the car is standing still: at meets, photo shoots, on private property. They come off in seconds without tools, so the car goes back to factory condition whenever needed.

Selling and owning the panels is fully legal.

Yes. Just give your invoice details when ordering, or write to ciemnaszybasklep@gmail.com — also after the parcel has arrived. We send invoices by email.

After you place an order, a confirmation arrives at the address you gave, and on the day of dispatch — a message with the tracking number. If neither email has arrived, it is worth checking the spam folder: shop messages sometimes end up there. If in doubt, just write to ciemnaszybasklep@gmail.com with your order number — we will check the status by hand.
